XCEL Team Meet Schedule

What is Xcel?

The USA Gymnastics Xcel program was developed as an alternative competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The goal of the program is to provide gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience. The Xcel’s purpose is to provide competitive opportunities for all athletes regardless of their age, ability, or training commitment in terms of hours and/or finances. It is designed to offer a broad based affordable experience outside of the Jr. Olympic Program to attract and retain a diverse groups of athletes.

Tentative Meet Schedule (as of 02/04/26) Please remember that this list can change at anytime so check back often.

Sectionals for ALL levels has been eliminated and now ALL gymnasts will pay a registration of $30 due by 9/26.
Every gymnast must compete in at least 2-New Jersey Competitions, and in only one competition, they need to receive the state
qualifying score.

IMPORTANT INFO

  • Last day to qualify will always be 21 days (3 weeks) prior to the State Meet:
  • All Xcel Divisions need a 32.00 A.A. to States, except Sapphire, they will need a 33.00 A.A. or an 8.75 as an IES
  • XCEL Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire to Regionals need a 35.00 or a 36.00 pre-qualified, No IES first year to Regionals.

XCEL Gold, Platinum, Diamond – 32AA at an invitational
XCEL Sapphire – 33AA at an invitational
 
Qualifying to Regionals
Must get the following score at the State meet (no pre-qualification)
XCEL Gold – 36AA
XCEL Platinum – 35AA
XCEL Diamond – 34AA
XCEL Sapphire – 33AA
 

Qualifying to Nationals

XCEL Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Sapphire – 33AA at an invitational
High School Seniors don’t need a qualification score
