Nelson Chiropractic and Pilates Center 856-767-8800

We would like to introduce Drs. Kerri and Eric Nelson from Nelson Chiropractic and Pilates Center,  They have been working with some of our gymnasts for the past several months, conveniently providing care right in the gym!  They specialize in manual therapy and functional rehabilitation, helping our athletes to recover from injury faster and perform at their best.  Together, their unique treatment approach identifies muscle imbalances which can lead to faulty movement patterns, excessive wear and tear and overuse or traumatic injuries.  Some of the things they focus on are improving range of motion and flexibility as in splits and opening hips and shoulders during back extension activities, trunk stability in lines and shapes of handstands and giants, and breath control for postural stabilization and decreasing anxiety and improving focus.

Dr. Eric Nelson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians and has previously worked with Olympic athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.  With 20 years of experience, he also has been a part of the medical staff of the Mountain Dew Extreme Sports Tour.  For the past four years, he has been an instructor for NeuroKinetic Therapy Seminars and teaches internationally.  Dr. Nelson is the only advanced practitioner in New Jersey of the cutting-edge technique Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (PDTR), developed by orthopedic surgeon, Jose Palomar, MD.

Dr. Kerri Nelson is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Certified Exercise Trainer.  With a background in dance, gymnastics and acro, she has dedicated her career to the study of movement.  Dr. Nelson has extensive training from the Prague School of Rehabilitation and Manual Medicine and is a Polestar Pilates Certified Rehabilitation Practitioner and Pilates Method Alliance Certified Instructor.  Her specialty is observing movement patterns and retraining proper movement to help speed healing, prevent future injuries and give a competitive edge in sports.

Dr. Eric is at the gym this summer on Thursday afternoons and Dr. Kerri is available by appointment.  For more information, please visit their website or call their office at 856-767-8800.
