Outstanding Job Camryn Nelson! She finished in 4th place AA

The Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, in partnership with the Greater Columbus Sports Commission, played host to the U.S. Classic and U.S. Hopes Championships July 27-28.

The Hopes Championships, which featured young, aspiring female gymnasts just below the elite level, was held in conjunction with the U.S. Classic. The Hopes Championships features two age groups, 10-11 year-olds and 12-13 year-olds. Athletes advanced to the Hopes Championships from the Hopes Classic if they placed in the top 18 from each age group

Camryn’s performance in her 1st Hopes competition season has been very impressive. She earned many gold medals on her road to competing at her 1st Hopes Championship meet.  Camryn placed 3rd all around at Hopes Classic earning her a spot to compete in the Hopes Championships.

Vault: 12.250 – 5th place
Uneven bars 11.650 – 7th place
Balance Beam 12.500 – 4th place
Floor Exercise: 12.050 – 7th place
All Around: 48.450 – tied for 4th place
